sce hosted international conference in 2006
In conjunction with the Stanford Technology Ventures Program (STVP) at Stanford University, the sce hosted the Roundtable for Entrepreneurship Education (REE) Europe 2006 in Munich this September. About 50 leading professors of entrepreneurship and directors of entrepreneurship centers from all over the world attended the conference in order to discuss how to improve and expand the education in entrepreneurial thinking and action as well as in the closely related commercialization of innovation. Top universities such as INSEAD, IESE, London Business School, and Stanford University were represented along with many others.
State Minister Erwin Huber agreed on acting as one of the keynote speakers to emphasize the role Bavaria plays in the area of entrepreneurship.
A prestigious panel presented a variety of strategies to deal with the topic of "Engaging high impact players in entrepreneurship education"
The panellists were: Jürgen Gallmann, former CEO of Microsoft Germany as well as initiator of the Microsoft Entrepreneurship Initiative "Unternimm was" (roughly: "Let's get started"), Bart Markus, partner of Wellington Partners, Lothar Stein, director of McKinsey & Company Inc. as well as co-initiator of the Munich Business Plan Competition, and Peter Zaboji of INSEAD, co-founder of the European Entrepreneurship Foundation.
