As one of the founding partners of EXTOREL, a leading Venture Capital organisation, Falk F. Strascheg is one of the most experienced and most successful venture capitalists in Germany and Europe.

In 1987 Falk F. Strascheg founded TECHNOLOGIEHOLDING. Within a few years he succeeded in turning TECHNOLOGIEHOLDING into the leading venture capital company, not just in Germany, but in all the German-speaking countries.

TECHNOLOGIEHOLDING was the lead-investor in numerous high-tech companies. By the end if December 2000 of the 156 early stage investments projects 13 of the young companies were listed on the international growth exchange and 31 companies had been sold. At the beginning of February 2000 Falk F. Strascheg sold TECHNOLOGIEHOLDING to the 3i group plc.

Before founding TECHNOLOGIEHOLDING, Falk F. Strascheg founded Laser-Optonic in 1971 in Munich. During the next ten years his company developed into the leading European manufacturer of lasers and laser systems with branches in Brussels, Milan and Paris. In 1981 Falk Strascheg sold his company to the worldÂ’s leading laser manufacturer, Coherent Inc., Palo Alto, California.

Falk F. Strascheg holds numerous positions on the boards of various international technology companies. In 1998 he was President of the European Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (EVCA), which has more than 900 members.
