What is ape?
ape is a programme that focuses on “Innovation and Entrepreneurial Spirit”. Over the course of a year the part-time programme teaches key skills for entrepreneurial thinking and action: How do you detect the potential for innovation? How are new ideas born? How can these ideas be developed effectively and quickly into relevant and innovative solutions? And how can they be applied in the long term?
The certification programme ape combines know-how and personal development with interdisciplinary practical work in the fields of innovation and company development. Multidisciplinary teamwork is our main working method. Theoretical learning is always followed by practical application. Creative techniques are just as much an integral part of the ape course as entrepreneurial tools.
Programm (starts every year in the winter semester)
In the first semester the various theoretical and practical methods are learned and consolidated. During the “ape week”, held in the semester holidays, participants practice thoroughly the innovation methods which they have learned in the context of a short fictitious project. In the second semester participants work in groups on genuine innovative projects for real customers. Throughout the academic year additional relevant areas concerning innovation and commercial and social development are discussed in six topic workshops. A weekend workshop focusing on personal development is held at the beginning of each semester.
